                CAMPING AT THE BEAVER
Beaver Springs Dragway is a well run, family oriented facility. We permit overnight camping by responsible patrons. Campers are required to purchase a minimum 2 day spectator pass. If you have a camper vehicle, there is a $10 charge for the weekend.  
RULES:
No glass bottles, ATV's, Dirt Bikes, Fireworks or Music.
Alcohol is limited to responsible adult use. Campfires are permitted.

Dogs are permitted, but no aggressive breeds.
SPECTATOR CAMPING:
Spectators that arrive with camper trailers or those patrons tenting must pay spectator fees through Sunday. All campers must set up near the tree lines and not in the pit parking areas.   
COST TO CAMP: $10 for the entire weekend
Plus a minimum 2 day spectator fee.

                    Kenny Montgomery update

Tuesday at 11:00 AM

Beaver Bob's all time favorite Super Stock driver, Kenny Montgomery, has just undergone an 10 hour open heart surgery to repair issues that needed address.  He is showing a strong recovery and has been taken off the respirator and breathing on his own. In talking with Kenny on Sunday he said he's looking forward to running with us again in 2011. Please keep him in your prayers.   BB

 


August 29th

WILL LEITCH TAKES TOP BEAVER

IHRA Bracket Finals Champion, Will Leitch, nailed down both the Modified title and the overall Top Beaver win on Sunday downing Bike champion, Dr. Rick Bunting in the finals with a 10.219 on a 10.17 at 123.01 MPH to the Doc's 8.206 on a 8.07 at 139.66 MPH onboard  Suzuki.

Top ET finals was a double break out affair with the Reverend Tom Youtzy ' s Falcon taking too much stripe running a 9.427 on a 9.44 at 142.54 giving the with to Jeff Duck's dragster with a 7.812 on a 7.82 at 164.387 MPH.

Modified finals was an all MOPAR affair with Jilly Aurand's `74 Dart Sport going red by -.017 and running a 11.026 on a 11.03 at 120.03 MPH in giving the win to Will Leitch's 440 Dart's 10.211 on a 10.17 at 130.47 MPH.

The Bike finals was a close one as you can see with Dave Carpenter's Kawasaki getting to the stripe late (.042 to .017 R/T)  in giving the win to the Doc' s 8.097 on a 8.07 at 160.85 MPH to Dave's 9.588 on a 9.58 at 131.04. 

Street eliminator was a familure sight with Dave Weaver's Charger facing Bob Klock's Challenger. Bobby had Dave on the tree with a .012 to Dave's .026, but at the stripe Dave covered his dial with a 12.990 on a 12.98 at 99.59 MPH to Klock's 12.114 on a 12.07 at 109.59 MPH.

JR finals was a battle of the younger kids in the class with 10 year old Kevin Kohr taking the win over 8 year old Bryce Vollman running a 9.055 on a 9.02 at 72.37 MPH to Bryce's 13.058 on a 12.98 at 48.17 MPH.

In the second chance Lil Beaver (There are no buy backs at the Beaver.) Jim Holland's GTO took the win over Don Carnell's dragster with a great .003 light and running a 10.926 on a 10.91 at 121.19 MPH to Don's red light.

JR ATV has been added as another bonus class for the kids. This week it was Danae Roles, far side, taking the title over Drew Yocum's red light with a 11.678 on a 11.68 at 52.57 MPH to Drew's 10.352 on a 10.30 at 60.34 MPH.

BONUS SHOTS

The semis are set in Modified with Jilly and Will. In Top it's the Rev and Ducky.

Vollman Family feud: Sue took the win over Brian in the Triple 000 Club round.

There was too much track for Mike Holland in the this Triple 000 Club round when he faced Jason Weaver.

This Pro Stick Mustang was getting ready for Labor Day Nationals.

Fred House carded a 8.11 in his turbo 4 cylinder Probe!!

GRAHAM DADDY WINS AGAIN!

Graham Daddy Taylor took the Top Street title for the third week in a row. This week in an all Vega finals he defeated Jim Sheaffer in a close one cutting a .019 to .024 light and running a 9.999 on a 9.95 to Jim's 10.207 on a 9.90.

Street Stick was an all Ford affair with Dennis Henry's Mustang taking the title cutting a great .013 light and laying down a 11.36 on a 11.29 at 109.32 over Lynn Umberger's Comet's 11.249 on a 11.22 at 118.14 MPH.

Sport Bike fell to Justin Spaid on his Ninja over Bob "Fig" Newton's `Busa. Justin ran a 9.61 on a 9.59 at 127.70 MPH to Fig's 9.64 on a 9.59 at 141.56.

Street Auto was a classis Chevy verses Ford battle with Mike Harpster's Mustang taking the win over Ashley "Cup Cake" Brady's Nova. Mike ran a 9.728 on a 9.73 at 135.19 MPH to Cup Cake's 11.163 on a 11.18 at 119.07.

Outlaw Street found a new first time champion when Danelle Thomas took the title over Dwight Shelly's Chevy truck running a 13.10 on a 13.09 at 102.77 MPH to Dwight's 11.863 on a 11.84 at 108.82 MPH.

Bone Stock Truck found Michelle Cash$$$$'s Jeep taking the title over Gary Troup's Silverado with a 16.422 on a 16.48 at 81.53 MPH to Gary's 18.375 on a 18.45 at 77.88 MPH.

ATV was a Hile Family affair with Matt defeating his wife, Cait running a 14.699 on a 14.66 at 81.12 MPH to Cait's 18.334 on a 18.35 at 65.19 MPH.

BONUS SHOTS

Dave Romancheck just missed the Top Street cut in his street driven Z-06 running a best of 9.999. WOW!!

Steve Hollenbach has became a real hitter in Top Street.

Street Auto action had Ryan Johnson's 11 second Road Runner go red against Mike Harpster in the semis.

GRAHAM DADDY DOUBLES DOWN
WINS TOP STREET & STREET AUTO


Graham Daddy Taylor is out first over Mike Harpster's Mustang in the Top Street finals and on his way to picking up two tiles. Graham ran a 9.950 on a 9.93 at 134.81 MPH to Mike's close 9.802 on a 9.79 134.38 MPH.


The Street Stick finals matched two hitters with Dennis Henry's Mustang out first on a .036 light over Chris Shaffer's SS Furious .006. At the stripe it was Chris picking up the title with a 11.403 on an 11.40 at 115.59 MPH to Dennis's run out 11.398 on 11.40 at 119.96 MPH. It was a win by 11 inches!!

The finals of Street Auto was de'javu from Top Street with the same results as Graham Daddy's Vega stopped Mike Harpster's Mustang with a great .006 light, running a 9.967 on a 9.93 at 129.51 MPH to Mike's 9.865 on a 9.80.

In the all `Busa Sport Bike finals it was Dave Davis coming from behind to take the win over "Fig" Newton with a 9.271 on a 9.20 at 151.13 MPH to Fig's run out 9.552 on a 9.60 at 144.11 MPH

Outlaw Street was an all Ford finals with Dewayne Harris in his Fairmont taking the title over Captain Ed Brady in the Leonard Long Mustang when the Captain ran a ground with a run out pass of 8.627 on a 8.64 at 149.85 MPH after great .024 light to Dwayne's .064 running a 12.319 on a 12.27 at 102.70 MPH.

It was an all Ford Lightning finals in Bone Stock Truck with Randy Seltzer drawing a red light with a -.040, giving the win to Rob Murphy. Rob ran a right on 11.455 on a 11.45 at 120.14 MPH to Randy's slowing 12.324 on a 12.10.
The race stands as the quickest Bone Stock Finals in the Beaver's history.

Cait Hile is out first in the ATV finals over Ricky Kuhl's Yamaha with a .047 light. Cait held on for the win with a 18.541 on a 18.48 at 64.96 MPH to Ricky's 13.106 on a 13.00 at 92.04 MPH.

In the Sport Compact finals Melissa Newton was out first on a much better light with her Subaru over Justin Stauder's Nissan. At the stripe, Melissa ran out by .001 with a 18.449 on a 18.45 at 73.40 MPH giving the title to the 240's 12.363 on a 12.00 at 120.12 MPH. Talk about a surprising  ride, 120 MPH!!

The JR ATV title was on the line when Dalton roles left first over Shelley Brosius. Dalton has a far better light but took too much stripe giving Shelley her first ever win. Shelley carded a 11.196 on a 11.05 at 56.12 MPH to Dalt's run out 11.843 on a 11.87 at 50.45 MPH.

In the  Duncannon Auto Repair ATV Special event that gave all the JR ATV kids a second race, Senior Champ, Shania Taylor is out first over JR Champ, Brian Vollman and held on for the win running a 13.789 on a 13.73 at 42.39 MPH to Brian's slowing 11.279 on a 11.08 at 53.40 MPH.

It was ladies only in the finals of the Senior ATV class with Shania Taylor facing Sarah Marks. Shania took the win running out least in taking the win with a 13.738 on a 13.79 at 42.91 MPH to Sarah's 10.679 on a 10.75 at 55.48 MPH.

WINNERS CIRCLE

Graham Daddy was hot, winning both Top Street and Street Auto. In both finals he defeated his son-in-law, Mike Harpster. Looks like "Father knows best".

Bone Stock Truck with his 11 second Lightning.

Cait Hile took the ATV title and is pretty happy about it.

Shelley Brosius and the family, won her first JR ATV title.

Shania Taylor won the Duncannon Auto Repair ATV Special event on her Polaris Trail Boss. Copping both the Senior class and the Top ATV title.

RECORD HOLDER
Mikey McCracken set a new track record on Saturday's Test and Tune session recording 76 time shots from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. He also set a new record for pulling wheelies in one day. With 3 pulled in the burn out, 3 pulled going down track and 3 pulled coming down the return road, (3 for each gear change) that totals up to 684 wheelies. It's a record that will stand forever.

This Honda 50  was bought brand new by my uncle Bob Bush Back in 1978 and was my very first mini bike it is all oringal including the tires . Will need a new rear tire soon!!!

 

 

 

Mikey Mccracken Breaks a new record @ the Beaver!!!!!!!!!!

Mikey made 76 time shots on saturday  starting at 10:00 and finishing @ 4:00 he didnt take a break just made loops 76 times and about 600 wheelies.  He also broke the record for most times shots in a hour 18 of them !! Was a very long day
